Sr Business Analyst/ Sr Project Manager- Human Resource SupportVertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is a global biotechnology company committed to the discovery and development of breakthrough small molecule drugs for serious diseases.

Vertexs product pipeline is focused on viral diseases, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, cancer, pain and bacterial infection.

We are currently seeking a Global Information Services (GIS) Senior Business Analyst/ Sr Project Manager whose primary job focus is in coordination with business partners in the General and Administrative (G&A) business areas (GIS, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and Facilities&Operations) with a main concentration with Human Resources. This person will also apply business analysis skills to advise the G&A business areas regarding industry best practices, continuous improvement, and systems and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The Senior Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the successful planning, definition and deployment of solutions, working with cross-functional project team resources to ensure solutions are delivered on time and on budget according to defined scope, timeline and cost parameters.

S/He will schedule and control all project activities toward these objectives, applying functional, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive, professional relationships with customers and colleagues.

In addition to having strong project and program management skills, the Senior Project Manager should be experienced in managing large-scale mission critical projects.

Key Responsibilities: ===================== Business relationship management.

Project planning and budget management.

Effective vendor management.

Drive and manage the entire project life cycle.

Negotiate, define, communicate and manage the scope of projects.

Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks.

Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to success.

Create and maintain a project schedule, which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements.

Develop, maintain and effectively execute project plans throughout the life of assigned project(s) according to established procedures, channels and success expectations.

Establish clear project parameters supporting the success of all internal and client team members (includes KPIs). Provide and promote high standards of professionalism, integrity and leadership throughout the life of projects, both within and outside the organization, appropriately representing Vertex business philosophies, protocols and standards.

Contribute to continual process and people management innovation, supporting effective delivery of solutions Forecast, trackand manage project budgets, POs and invoices in accordance with Vertex corporate policy.

Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables.

Acquire / coordinate appropriate resources (technical&non-technical) to meet project needs.

Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information, and deliverables.

Manage effective and accurate completion of new business proposals aligned to the business strategy.

Assist in the ongoing maturation process of the Projectlife cycle and integration process.

Minimum Requirements Qualified applicants will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and a minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager working in an Information Systems group (preferably within the Pharmaceutical ofLife Sciences industry). PMP certification preferred.

Experience with Oracle E-business Suite (Oracle Project Accounting, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, iProcurement, iExpenses, Purchasing, Order Management, Accounts Receivables, Alerts, Approvals Management Engine (AME), and Application Desktop Integrator (ADI)) is preferred.

Experience with Noetix, Discoverer, Kenexa , iManage, KBX, Ceridian and Outlooksoft is a plus.
