Description
A company in the Clackamas area is looking for a Shop Foreman. The selected candidate will work cooperatively with HR in hiring and staffing shop, including mechanics Coordinate all maintenance/repair on trucks. Manages schedule of maintenance on all company equipment and trucks according to OSHA and DOT standards. Sets work schedule for all mechanics. Evaluate driver trip check sheets at start of each day to determine parts and repairs to be completed and to order necessary parts.
Assign specific repairs and maintenance tasks to mechanics. Manage staff of 6 mechanics. Sign off on completed work orders after verification of work.
Compile tasks related to tracking all services in the shop. Field repair calls from all other hubs and determine if work will be completed on site or through outside vendor. Interface with all outside vendors fielding sales calls and product management. Make executive decisions on active and inactive trucks based on status of maintenance and repair. On call for all emergency mechanic or service requirements after hours.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- 5+ years strong diesel vehicle and hydraulic repair and maintenance (mechanic) experience.
- 3+ years supervisory experience.
- Diesel Mechanic Certification a MUST, must be from an accredited industry
specific technical school program. - Welding knowledge and experience.
- Electrical and Diesel engine troubleshooting skills.
- Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong
commitment to Safety. - Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a Class A license..
High School diploma/ equivalent
The hours are Monday-Friday, some Saturdays and the selected candidate will be on call 24/7. This is a temporary position that pays $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.
