Description Under limited supervision, works on electromechanical, mechanical and related equipment by performing one or a combination of the following:
* Under general supervision, use of drawings, wire lists and technical repair standards * Disassemble/reassemble, manufacture and install a wide variety of electronic components and equipment including wiring terminal boxes. * Remove, install, repair and modify components of missile/fire control systems/equipment within the facility and on board ships. * Troubleshoot and repair sub assemblies and system cabinets. Required Skills:
Experience using micrometers, torque measuring devices, tap and die tools, dial indicators and depth gauges. Proficient in the use of electrical metering devices and general hand tools. Meticulous work site habits, including knowledge and understanding of Foreign Object Exclusion. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to perform measurements and installations and limited testing of sub assemblies and system cabinets. May be required to perform work shipboard. Required Education: High School or equivalent. Familiar with NATO Seasparrow refurbishment and testing in the assembly area and the test area. Military Seasparrow School including C school. Candidate Skills Military background is a plus! |
