Description As a DICK'S Sporting Goods Golf Professional or Apprentice you will be responsible for directing the workflow to achieve department sales goals and oversee merchandise and signage programs in the golf department, ensuring that Company standards are met. Essential functions of this position include:Assisting management with scheduling associates, directing work assignments and controlling department costs to ensure business requirements are met
Training new golf associates
Supporting company standards of selling and customer service
Ensuring merchandising and signing standards are met
Oversee services in the golf department such as club fitting, repair, re-gripping as well as the special order program Success Profile Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal/communication skills
Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills
Good attention to detail
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Proficiency in MSOffice
Requirements
Must be affiliated and in good standing with the PGA/LPGA either as a Class A member or Apprentice (PGA Level 2 or 3 / LPGA all levels)CompensationCompetitive starting salary -Time worked over 40 hours in a normal week, will be paid at one and one half times the hourly rate.
