Job Description:
Our department provides broad-based engineering support for a wide variety of special test equipment (STE), test, and process equipment for custom semi-conductor manufacturing of our IR products.
· This person will perform maintenance and repair on a variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, cryogenic, optical, vacuum, and thermal cycling equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
· Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with vendor product and customer specifications, and makes the required repairs.
· Generate calibration, maintenance and operating procedures in an AS9100 quality environment.
· Data entry of work is required; data is recorded in accordance with Raytheons Quality Management System (QMS).
· Perform to schedule and handle multi-tasking with minimal direction in a fast paced work environment.
· Will involve working at both our Lompoc and Goleta plants. This position occasionally requires overtime.
· Must be self motivated, high level performer, good interpersonal skills; excellent communicator using Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes; be dependable and able to follow through on multiple concurrent assignments.
Required Skills:
· At least 10 yrs of hands on experience in the maintenance troubleshoot and repair of semiconductor process equipment.
· Possess electrical/ electronic expertise and mechanical aptitude with semiconductor process equipment.
· Demonstrated process equipment troubleshooting skills with an extensive experience using a wide range of test equipment and common hand/power tools.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-production team environment with process engineers and other internal customers.
· Must be able to read schematics, engineering and technical drawings and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
· Possess a valid drivers license and the ability to obtain a confidential clearance or have an existing confidential clearance.
· Must be comfortable working in an ISO class-5 cleanroom environment and capable of lifting 28 lbs.
· Technically competent working with computer operating systems from DOS to Windows XP.
Desired Skills:
· Experience in RF, optics, probers, bonders, aligners, hybridizers, data acquisition, vacuum theory, process temperature controllers, cryogenics, temperature sensors and their controllers.
· Six Sigma trained/certified
Required Education(including Major):
Bachelors degree (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
