Title: Director, Internet Advertising Products

Position:

Director, Internet Advertising Products Summary The Director of Internet Advertising Products is responsible for managing the complete advertising and marketing products' life-cycle from product strategic road map development to new product planning through product development, go to market planning, product launch management and post product revenue maximization. Combining exceptional leadership and management skills along with a deep understanding of Internet advertising and search products, the role will be measured by revenue growth through (a) maximizing per customer revenue and (b) penetration of existing print advertiser base, and new advertisers, while balancing print revenues. Key targets are: * Increase revenue stream from $30M in 2004 to $100M in 2007 * Increase advertiser print penetration from 10% in 2004 to 20% in 2007. Specific Responsibilities and Duties: * Leadership / Management: Lead and manage a team of product managers and product developers to product revenue and penetration goals. * Internal and External Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a "change agent" ensure that company becomes a company that "lives, eats and breaths" Internet. Ensure executives and staff are educated and supportive of Internet plans and that the company increases its ability to innovate in a rapidly evolving industry. Support external stakeholder activity where appropriate. * Balancing Print: Work with Print products to determine and optimize combined Print and Internet offerings. * Balancing Consumer Experience: Work closely with consumer Internet site team to balance consumer online needs with of advertiser revenue goals. * Product Life-Cycle Management: * Strategic Product Roadmap Development. Keep a "close pulse" on industry developments to ensure a product roadmap that allows revenue growth within an increasingly dynamic and competitive environment. Identify new and expanded product lines and market segment growth opportunities that address market specific competitive pressures. * New Product Planning and Management. Based on the strategic product roadmap and market research develop business plans for new and expanded products and product lines. Identify product design and customer experience, marketing plans, financial forecasting, along with cross functional business process, operational engineering and IT requirements. Work with business development to identify and select potential product partners / vendors. * Product Development. Working with CPMO lead cross-functional partners, such as IT and Operations, to develop new products and product trials to demanding timescales. * Go-to-Market Planning. Develop plans to successfully launch products including pricing programs, product bundling, sales effectiveness training, and advertiser promotional materials * Product Rollout and Launch. Work with partners to successfully execute go-to-market plans. * Post Launch Product Management. Manage existing product lines, such as Priority Placement, Featured Advertiser ensure maximum product life and revenue with analysis of market segmentation and viability for expansion.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Business and/or Marketing * 7+ years experience in Product Development and Product Management. * 5+ years experience in Internet product management and development, especially with Internet Yellow Pages (IYP) products. * Demonstrated ability to launch products in large and complex cross functional organizations, demonstrating strong relationship skills. * Strong strategic, analytic and financial modeling skills. * Expert knowledge of online advertising models, including pay for performance and paid inclusion models. * A strong team player that has proven management and leadership experience in bringing innovative and complex products to market. * A "can do" attitude and ability to work as a "change agent." * Significant experience with large and complex channel sales * Proven experience in presenting and working with executive team. * Breadth and depth of skills to span strategic planning to detailed technical implementation. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Travel 20% may be required for product training, client relations and vendor relations. * Ideal skills include: o Strong understanding of Internet technologies o Strong understanding of Internet content strategies o Strong rolodex of industry contacts and relati
