Business Banking Sales Manager - Toledo Area.

Primary responsibility for the administration and management of the assigned area, including all commercial lending activities, business development, loan sales, and commercial deposits for the retail bank.

Responsible for the establishment of department and divisional objectives, strategies, policies and procedures necessary to achieve the strategic goals and to optimize the pretax contribution to the division.

Responsible for the development of new loan volume and deposit volume.

Develops and maintains a staff of 11-15 professional officers.

Responsible for all small business relationships and opportunities within the assigned region, as well as partnering with market executives and district sales executives from the branch network on small business marketing strategies.

Is responsible for coaching the assigned branch network on commercial credit.

Possesses override authority of up to $500,000 and the ability to negotiate pricing and/or waive fees.

Is responsbile for the area budget of $750,000-$1MM.

Participates on community boards and is the center of influence in shaping small business and community partnerships.

Position normally requires a masters degree or advanced certification in a discipline directly related to the position as well as a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience, including commercial credit authority and sales management is required.

In-depth knowledge of credit policies and practices within the bank and business community are essential.

Must have a strong commercial credit background and prior responsibilities for developing strategic direction for a unit, hiring, training and coaching sales staff.
