Area Retail Sales Manager- Indirect and National Retail Channels (Utah)The Area Retail Sales Managers (ARSM) duties generally include, but are not limited to the following:

PURPOSE: Maximize the effectiveness of indirect distribution through new business development, strategic direction and support programs to achieve overall district National Retail/ Indirect Channels sales goals and targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement business plan and action plans to meet/exceed sales goals and maximize sales targets, including gross activations, net activations and feature sales.

Support and execute National Retail/ Indirect Channel strategies and programs

Assist in creating district quarterly game plan. Hire, develop, motivate and manage the performance of Indirect Sales Representatives and Indirect Account Managers in assigned territory; provide training on selling skills, new products and/or promotions, changes in Indirect Channel policies and procedures, etc.

Assist in the development and implementation of key account business and action plans. Implement strategies that include growth and acquisition of new Dealer and National Retail locations within the District.

Review and oversee Indirect Channel policy and procedure communication to all dealer locations within the district, including advertising co-op guidelines/ balance.

Develop and implement policies, tools, programs and organizational support needed to ensure productive partnerships with retailers, dealers and wholesalers.

Analyze, interpret and communicate key issues & metrics to members of the local and national management teams.

Analyze various business reports for trend analysis and strategic planning purposes.

Ensure distribution accounts are in compliance with the compensation strategy.

Collaborate with peers to ensure national consistency throughout operations.

Provide assistance and support to the Indirect Sales Operations team with respect to operational issues that need to be escalated and resolved; serve as liaison between sales team and Operations team as needed.

Ensure merchandising dollars are equally distributed throughout market.

Identify root cause of low or non-productive indirect locations, and assist in the development of action plans to increase productivity. Determine and fulfill the need, i.e., increased support, training, etc.

Lead local Indirect team in distribution and education of account and location-level personnel of programs and/or promotions initiated either by account or the Company. Ensure such programs are displayed according to Principals (account) direction and agreement.

Support Principals as needed, and/or as requested by for sales meetings, managers meetings, meetings with customers or prospective customers, etc.

Handle escalated customer contacts requiring management-level attention and churn management

Position Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

4+ years successful sales experience of which at least 2 years have been as a sales manager, developing and coaching sellers.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.

Ability to cope and adapt quickly and easily to change in a fast-paced retail environment.

Strong presentation, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Ability to fulfill the schedule requirements which may include working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential.

Designated driving position. Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, insurance and clean driving record required. MVR check required.

Ability to travel/commute throughout assigned territory.
